Art for everyone

Hi! My name is Jen Kraft.

Kraft Studio PDX is an evolving personal project of creative exploration, whimsy, and community-building.

It started as a “brand” to label my personal creative projects in a cohesive way, but now I want to boldly share my art with the world, and I want to encourage others to find their own artist within.

My promise to you is that my content will always be entirely AI-free, and all community events will be screen-free, offline experiences where you can connect with your inner child, other humans, be in the present moment, and get a much-needed antidote (joy, novelty, and connection) to the current state of the world.

Located in Portland, Oregon.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Currently, I host a free monthly event at libraries called Sew Social PDX. My goal for 2026 is to expand into monthly (to start) low-cost community art experiences, and release limited batch drops of handmade products. I am excited that you are here to follow my journey!

  • I want to make art and community feel more achievable for people who are introverted, missing a sense of connection, burned out, or just feeling stuck and uninspired. Workshops can be as interactive or as independent as you want. The environment will be relaxed and casual, yet still a rewarding and refreshing experience.

  • One of my primary goals is to offer low-cost experiences so that there is a lower barrier to entry for a wider range of people. “Affordable” means something different to everyone, but for now I aim to offer workshops in the $12-50 range. In the future, we may offer more specialized workshops with a wider range of cost, due to the materials and expertise needed to offer them.

  • One of my favorite things about this city is that there are a plethora of opportunities where you can learn almost any specialty skill! But those classes can be a big investment of time and money, and that doesn’t always work with people’s budget or schedules. For some of us, imposter syndrome can also make it feel intimidating to enter a creative space. Kraft Studio is anti-perfectionism, anti-overthinking, and anti-automation. Just come hang out and make art, even if it’s quick and dirty! Trust me, it’s good for the soul.

We are all craving novelty, connection, and reprieve from reality, and I want to make that available to you low-cost, low-mental energy, and in your limited free time.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email at hello@kraftpdx.studio. For now, this is a one-woman operation, so please be patient! I usually respond in 1-2 business days.
