$78.00

Kraft Studio has teamed up with Doug of dougpots to bring you “Friendly Faces” - a seriously delightful handbuilding workshop across two sessions, on the first two Saturdays in December.

Join Jen and Doug to learn how to handbuild your own friendly face. Base it off of someone you love, or make them up as you go! All materials are provided, and you get to take home your tool kit.

All you need to bring is an apron, or clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

This will take place in Doug’s home studio in NE Portland, (off Sandy Blvd) with a limited 8 spots available! Because this is a home studio, the exact location address will be shared after booking.

Saturday, 12/5, 2:30-5:00:

  • The first session will including a slab roller demonstration, then starting on your pre-rolled slab to cut out your rounded face from a 8-10” square, then use only the scraps and texturing tools to make the standing base of arms, plus hair, features, and accessories.

Saturday, 12/12, 2:30-5:00:

  • The second session will entail painting your dry clay with underglazes which you mix and match on your palette. Doug will then finish off the process by firing your pieces with a clear glaze, after which you will be contacted to arrange final pick up.
