World's Largest Craft Club: Portland Chapter
Saturday, June 27 • 6 PM - 9 PM
Portland joins 30+ craft clubs around the world for a free evening of collage, creativity, and connection.
There's something so magical about knowing that while we're cutting paper in a Portland Park, someone else across the ocean is doing the same thing.
On June 27, Portland will join more than 30 craft clubs across 7 countries as part of the World's Largest Craft Club—a global celebration of creativity, connection, and making things by hand.
Together with Kraft Studio, we'll be gathering at Laurelhurst Park for a free evening of collage portraits, found poetry, postcards, and creative expression. Wander between activities, try something new, strike up a conversation, or simply enjoy creating alongside others.
No artistic experience required. No supplies needed. No pressure to be "good" at art (whatever that means). Just bring yourself, in whatever form it's in that day.
In a world that increasingly drives us to interact through screens, this is an invitation to slow down, make something with your hands, and spend an evening in the company of other curious humans.
Whether you're a lifelong artist, an avid journaler, an occasional doodler, or someone who hasn't touched a glue stick in years, you're welcome here.
This event is free to attend, but RSVPs are encouraged so we can plan materials.
Creativity isn't just about finding ourselves.
It's also about finding each other.
Good to know:
No need to bring anything! We'll have some blankets laid out for folks to sit on, but if you'd like to bring your own blanket or chair, you're welcome to! We'll have everything you need for a crafty time, but if you have a project you're itching to work on, feel free to bring it as well!
